hit the nail on the head
[의미]
to describe exactly what is causing a situation or problem; to be exactly right about something.
상황이나 문제의 정확한 원인(핵심)을 짚어내는 것을 의미하며, 망치질을 할 때 못의 머리를 정확하게 맞추는 행위에서 유래되었다고 알려져 있다.
